Here it is folks!

Fresh off the ‘skillet’ at the Dooda Desert Rock Kitchen (Vigil HQ) from ground zero, the latest news, progresses, negotiations, ceremonies, prayers, meetings, you name it.  Also available for the computer-inclined at http://www.earthcycles.net  and www.desert-rock-blog.com

The ‘dough’ consists of schedules on  January 03, 2007 at 1:00pm in Shiprock, NM.  The Shiprock District Court House will be a mile-stone for the DDR movement.  In the ‘batter,’ included topics are A HEARING ON A PRELIMINARY INJUNCTION, RESTRAINING ORDER, etc.  Flavored by a DDR presence and  DineCARE supporters.  Still more Native ‘spices’ could be added.  All supporters are humbly encouraged to join us in showing a strong-unified front in the fight against a 3rd coal-fired plant in the four-corners area.

Despite the ‘salty’ inaccurate media segments and public maneuvering by “the man,” come and join our just cause to save what’s left of our world, not as race, religion or status but as humans: equal and divine.  If not for a greater good than for the ‘baking powder’ that roots this concoction, the brave and honorable Alice & Julius Gilmore.  They are standing their ground for generations long gone and those long to come.  Please support, donate, contribute or just visit on January 3, 2007 at 1:00pm in Shiprock, NM.

On with the recipe, DDR ‘kneads’ and nurtures’ a delicate and profound situation that would crumble any great leader.  We have been ignored, disrespected and humiliated yet we stand; youth and elder alike.  We gather strength through the persistence of elderly wisdom and youthful robust, much like “water”.

Hope to see you all outside the Shiprock Courthouse on January 3, 2007.  Gathering shall commence at 12:00pm NOON!

Next, we have an ‘ol’ fashioned Navajo horse raid’ from Kirtland to DDRV  HQ aka. “Bi-wheeled motorized vehicular voyage.” (for reasons of corporate eyes and ears)  Our supporters have gathered and scheduled a “ SUPPORT RALLY” (bi-wheeled motorized vehicular voyage).  This ride shall ensue January 14, 2007.

The Map is attached. (Refer to January 14, 2007 DDR blog)

Then conclude at DDR Base Camp.  Horses, wagons, cars, etc are all welcome in support and fun.  This project has a few loose details but stay tuned as these ends are tied up.  Vroom………Vroom…………..

Finally, for todays ‘dessert’…….we have a healthy dose of cold-hard facts, ageless wisdom topped with a dash of defiance.  As a backdrop for your viewing pleasure, come and see the beautiful sunset, the open country of people devoured by their leaders and frigid, harsh winds that prepare us for the long battle ahead.

JANUARY 09, 2007: Presidential Inauguration Day for Mr. Joe Shirley.  A DAY OF ASSURANCE FOR DOODA DESERT ROCK RESISTANCE

Our gathering serves as a translation to the Navajo Nation tribal government that we all have not given-up the right to speak for ourselves.  College education, high-profile degrees, prestigious positions, long-hair and turquoise means nothing if an individual is not spiritually in-tuned to the earth. Culturally foundationed in their native tongue and most of all ‘embracing the views of their people’, be it as it may against personal opinions or not. They were allowed into office by the people (Navajo People).  They spoke our tongue, told us our hopes and promised a future for us Navajo in particular.

Those tactics are now being used again, this time against the people, we are called “protesters” and (alchini doo ni si da keesi gii) adults with immature thoughts, by our own leaders.  Our hopes …….forget it.  We (the new generation) have returned to defend our lands, beliefs and family yet we’re considered enemy threats within our own country.

On that note, Inauguration of what?  Another term of oversight, disrespect and betrayal?   Be it as it may DDR will host an open gathering of the nations to voice our plea in numbers.   Our function is to incorporate the strength of the Native community as well as the world, for this “little ol’ power plant” effects us all.

As activists, naturalists, realists, environmentalists, whatever list………..we implore your response.  You have helped us grow to this magnitude, now lets show the world that corporate exploitation on sovereign lands has long been over-looked.  Come tell your tale, this is a call to action and resolve, not a chaotic act of defiance.

“Think fried-breads done.”………….

Thank-you

Please come and support the right to be heard.
